"THE THRILLA' IN CAMILLA III "

was just that, "A Thrilla!"

The FDNY retained the belt with a 4-2 Match Victory

Many Thanks to all of our Sponsors which you can see by clicking on the link below. They themselves raised $10,000.00 and donated it all to Building Homes For Heroes, another $5,400.00 was added to the pot when our 50/50 winner gave her winnings back and wanted it to go to the Vets. And to top things off the FDNY Boxing Team from its' previous event presented a check to BH4H for $30,000.00! US Army Sgt. John DiRaimo and USMC 1st Lt., James Byler were on hand to receive all of the funds to pass along to BH4H, as well as FDNY Ret. Capt Jimmy Hayhurst who headed his staff collecting the 50/50 for the night. Jimmy is a devout volunteer for this organization who donates free homes for our disabled war vets.

Check back soon to see the results of all of the bouts as well as more pictures and bylines. A very special thank you goes out to the People of Rockaway for making it the  night it was and for their generous donations to the 50/50, all who came enjoyed themselves to the hill.

Another big thank you goes out to Mike Sullivan's Crew of Volunteers who were deep in the trenches selling t-shirts, beverages, taking tickets at the door and making this event run smoothly and without any incidents.

Please check back soon for more from this incredible night of boxing under the stars at the Thrilla in Camilla III...

Check Presentation to Building Homes for Heroes at the Easter Eve Uprising on 3/26/16.

The Proceeds were from the Battle of The Badges Match in November of 2015:

On Friday November 20th, 2015 at the 33rd Annual Battle of the Badges Boxing Match, we honored USMC Gunnery Sgt. Chris Claude. He has been a member of the USMC since 1998 serving as Field Artillery Radar Leader, A Marine Recruiter and a Field Artillery Operations Chief. He was injured on 2/20/06 in Iraq;

"while on patrol as a military advisor to the Iraqi Police, Chris' team was ambushed by an Iraqi Improvised Explosive Device where he lost his right leg, left thumb, sustained numerous broken bones, burns and shrapnel wounds." He also suffered a traumatic brain injury. God Bless this man and others like him for their heroism.

A LETTER FROM BUILDING HOMES FOR HEROES:

Dear Bobby,
Please know that I would like to personally thank you for your generous support of our organization, and for your admirable commitment to our nation’s veterans.

You have helped us achieve a tenth consecutive record-setting year in 2016. And thanks to the growing support from others, like you, we are finishing the year stronger than ever. This November and December, we gifted more than 10 mortgage-free homes for injured veterans and their families, in time for the holidays, and will break ground on three additional homes. These homes will help us reach a record-setting total of 31-mortgage-free homes gifted, plus ten additional home modifications, in a single year.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for believing in us and we hope that you will continue to support this life-changing and noble mission. Together, we are building homes and rebuilding lives, and providing many of our veterans in need with a shining light

towards a hopeful future.

We hope we can count on your continued support, and we will do all we can to can live up to your expectations. Please share our collective accomplishments with family and friends, start a donor page by clicking on the “Join Us” billboard at buildinghomesforheroes.org, and follow us on Facebook to learn more about the many amazing veterans we are helping

along their road to recovery.
A very happy holidays to you and your loved ones and a Happy New Year,
Andy Pujol
Proud President, Founder and Volunteer
